Series: Zac Power - Author H.I. Larry - Ages 8+

About The Series

Move over Young James Bond, Jack Stalwart, Alex Rider, Agent Cody Banks, the Cortez kids and Harriet cause there's a new spy in the game.  That's right, 12 year old Zac Power and his whole spy family are working for the G.I.B. (Government Investigation Bureau) and bad guys everywhere are beefing up their security.

Here in the U.S. there's only four Zac Power books but in Australia where Zac was created, there are over fifty Zac Power missions. Yes I said 50 books and as far as I know, Zac hasn't retired yet.  There's more missions coming, they're just not coming to the Unite‪d States.  Why?  Maybe the G.I.B. doesn't want any more of the Zac Power missions to fall into the wrong hands.  Maybe Zac makes the the FBI look bad and they won't let any more Zac books in the country.  Maybe I just make stuff up when I don't know the real answer.

Below are summaries and reviews of the four Zac Power books you can find in the US.  Enjoy.

Reviews

"This book is really cool because Zac gets to play with all these wicked gadgets. There is also tons of action and the book isn't really long so I can read it in one night... I cannot wait to read the next Zac Power book. I would recommend that my school get the whole series. Jake @ Rayments Readings, Rants & Ramblings

"Zac Power books are always delightful fun. Its sort of like James Bond for the younger set... Lots of action and great gadgets." - Jennifer @ Rayments Readings, Rants & Ramblings

"So here's Zac Power, twelve-year-old youngest son of a secret agent family, superspy gadgets in every pocket, off on a new top-secret mission every book. He parachutes into danger! He foils villains and escapes booby traps! His hair is always perfect. But truth be told, Zac would rather be home listening to his iPod and practicing guitar." - Pink Me

"The Zac Power books are more than just fun and slick. With their clear, formulaic layout, they also serve to introduce and familiarize readers with reading and literary patterns – the shape of chapters, plot momentum, methods of suspense, and foreshadowing... Hints and clues are dropped throughout the plots, and readers learn to pay attention as there is no detail in Zac's world that is arbitrary. The Zac books are not subtle, but they are very crafted." - CM Magazine, Canada
